Known for our love of quintessential British eccentricity and dog friendly stores, we at Hawkshead called on the quirkiest canine fashionistas to put their best paw forward and submit their entry to become the face of this season's Hawkshead catalogue.

There was no size zero debate here, in fact even the most interesting looking characters were urged to enter from the leggy Labradors to pouting Pugs, in fact the more individual a dog's look the better.

The response was fantastic as hundreds of you submitted entries through our stores, the post and the Hawkshead Facebook fanpage. We want to thank all of you that entered, and if we could, we would have picked them all.

And the Winner is.....

11 year old English Pointer called Chloe, she loves nothing more than to climb mountains, or run along the beach chasing seagulls. Chloe loves people and posing for the camera! Surely perfect for the Hawkshead Hound.

Our winner Chloe was chosen as the winning dog due to her classic features and love of the great outdoors. A true British breed with a unique white and brown-patched coat and a very inquisitive look, Chloe is a lively but gentle dog.

Hawkshead Managing Director, Joanne Black commented that she was thrilled with the response from the competition and thought that Chloe was every inch the Hawkshead hound!

Chloe has won a modelling contract, for which she and her owners, Sue and Ted were whisked off to a fashion shoot for the Hawkshead 2010 Spring/Summer catalogue and in-store promotional materials, which will be rolled across stores and outlets nationwide. Sue and Ted weren't forgotten either, they received £250 worth of Hawkshead clothing and footwear.
